
Kathmandu, October 29. The Nepal National Employees Federation, close to the CPN-Maoist Center, has handed over more than 800,000 rupees in aid for the flood and landslide victims.
The federation handed over a check of 777,777 rupees to party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ this morning. Federation chairman Mani Ratna Shrestha, general secretary Prem Khanal, Nepal National Civil Servants Organization chairman Ambadatta Bhatta and other officials of the federation and the organization handed over the check. The federation informed that the Nepal National Civil Servants Organization played an important role in collecting this aid.
Accepting the aid, Chairman Prachanda thanked the employees for collecting aid in the disaster faced by the people along with serving the nation. Stating that his party has continuously worked at the forefront to resolve the crisis created by the natural disaster, whether in the government or not, he said that the party would gain more energy if well-wishers close to the party also contributed to it.
Stating that his party was the first to take the initiative during this time of floods and landslides, Chairman Prachanda also thanked everyone who was continuously working in the affected areas for rescue, relief and rehabilitation. Stating that the relief and rehabilitation work has not yet picked up speed, he said that everyone should work hard to return all the victims of the earthquake two years ago to the current flood and landslides to their original condition, and that employees should contribute more from their work areas.
